Building Christian Foundations
The Discipleship Care Team support New Believers in Christ to learn and understand the foundational doctrines and principles of the Christian faith and to develop their relationship with God. The Programme is renowned for its community atmosphere, creating opportunities to discuss the Word of God, ask questions and building lasting friendships. It has also been empowering for those who want to revisit foundational teachings, and those wanting to learn more on the different aspects of being a disciple of Christ.
Discipleship Programmes
The Discipleship Foundational Programme (DCP 1/2) is 12 weeks long and New Believers learn more about the key principles that aid their walk with the Lord in the following areas:
- Understanding Salvation (1 & 2)
- Growing in God’s Word
- Repentance and Water Baptism
- Who is God? & The Work of the Holy Spirit The Practice of Prayer and Fasting Praise and Worship
- Who is God? & The Work of the Holy Spirit The Practice of Prayer and Fasting Praise and Worship
- Submitting to the Will of God Persevering for righteousness sake Holy Communion
- Victorious Living – having dominion over sin and the flesh
The Discipleship (Maturing) Programme (DCP 3) is 12 weeks long and focusses on personal growth and maturity in the Christian faith. The program builds on previous teachings and highlights the characteristics and practices of a true Christian and the principles that help launch disciples into serving effectively within the body of Christ.

- Love
- The Servants Heart
- Hearing God’s Voice
- Faith Count it all Joy (Enduring fiery trials) Praise and Worship
- Holiness The Life of Prayer and Fasting Personal Evangelism
- Spiritual Warfare The Disciples Resource (Studying God’s Word) Preparation for Ministry

The Discipleship Care sessions are held weekly and open to all New Believers.
The Discipleship Care sessions are held weekly and open to all New Believers. In person attendance sessions are held across Ruach City Church locations at Kilburn, Walthamstow, Brixton and Birmingham and we also run Virtual sessions online for those unable to attend sessions our locations. Session days and times for the locations are:
Birmingham Location: Wednesdays 7pm – 9pm (doors open at 6.30pm for Tea/coffee fellowship)
All London locations: Thursdays 7pm – 9pm (doors open at 6.30pm for Tea/coffee fellowship)
Due to covid-19 our Discipleship Care Programme is being taught online via zoom on Thursdays from 7pm – 9pm. Please email dtp@ruachcitychurch.org stating that you would like to attend Discipleship and you will be provided with information on how to join and attend the classes.
