Self referral

Individuals are encouraged to self refer by completing the self referral form available by clicking here, From the well-being information hub at all locations or sending an email request to: Well-Being@ruachcitychurch.org

Referral from a Ruach Elder must be done in agreement with the individual. Ideally we prefer self referral. Where children are concerned the parent or care giver should make the referral.

If you have been diagnosed with Long Covid and have not been able to access support and resources check out the “Long Covid Support” website which is a peer support and advocacy group for people living with Long Covid. Long Covid Support was formed by a group of people struggling to recover from Covid-19, who found each other online and have been facilitating international peer support and campaigning in the UK for recognition, rehabilitation and research into treatments since May 2020.

It has information ranging from symptom management, GP letter templates, work and benefits info and so much more. It is also a link to a National support group whose numbers also include journalists, politicians and doctors who connect with other sufferers to help and support by sharing their knowledge and/or speaking about their condition.

Ruach Well-being Service (RWS) is introducing confidential telephone/online sessions to support Ruach partners during these challenging times due to Coronavirus. Daytime and evening appointments are available as well as some weekend cover. The brief consultation appointment will allow you to identify the main problem, explore solutions and coping strategies and discuss other forms of support.

At the start of the consultation the practitioner will discuss confidentiality, exactly what the service is able to offer, as well as take personal information, your next of kin and GP details. A wide range of concerns can be addressed but in the event of urgent situations, crisis, long term mental or emotional issues, medical emergencies or if the issue is outside the practitioner’s level of expertise you will be signposted to a more appropriate service.

To book an appointment please contact the Ruach office by email: admin@ruachcitychurch.org or telephone 020 8678 6888, and leave your details. A practitioner who will be a qualified therapist or experienced mental health professional will then contact you as soon as possible.

Please be patient if you do not receive a response immediately, this is likely to be due to the high demand for the service. If in the meantime, you are finding it difficult to cope or you cannot wait please contact your local emergency services or your GP.

To further assist you RWS have provided a range of tips, exercises and additional support on the Ruach website Well-being page, on issues related to mental and physical well-being.
